What to realistically expect
Chronic pain that has been present for years rarely resolves in one or two sessions. Most patients at Spectrum WellCare begin feeling measurable improvement within 3–6 treatments. For long-standing chronic conditions, a course of 10–15 sessions is typically recommended to achieve lasting results.
The combination of acupuncture with the Harmonize herbal system — personalized Chinese herbal formulas that continue working between sessions — significantly accelerates this process. Herbs address the internal imbalances that drive chronic pain at a systemic level, complementing the local and nervous system effects of acupuncture.
For patients with nerve involvement — sciatica, neuropathy, complex regional pain syndrome — MPS (Microcurrent Point Stimulation) therapy is added to directly target the nerve pathways driving pain.
The patients who respond best
In my clinical experience, the patients who respond most dramatically to integrative TCM treatment are often those who have been failed most completely by conventional medicine.
