Dr. Purohit conducts a thorough intake — reviewing your full health history, performing pulse and tongue diagnosis, and beginning to identify your underlying pattern. Treatment often begins in the same visit. Most patients feel deeply relaxed during and after treatment.

Acupuncture needles are extremely fine — about the width of a human hair — and most patients feel little to no discomfort. Some people experience a mild ache, tingling, or sensation of warmth at the needle site, which is a positive sign that the point is being activated. Dr. Purohit adjusts needle placement and technique based on your comfort level at every visit.
Many patients feel noticeable improvement after their first 2–3 sessions. Acute conditions often respond faster than chronic ones. For conditions that have been present for years, a course of 8–12 sessions is typically recommended for lasting results. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be easily rolled up to the knees and elbows. Avoid eating a large meal right before your appointment, but don't come on an empty stomach either. Arrive a few minutes early for your first visit to complete any remaining intake paperwork.
